Authentic Belgian Pearl Sugar used for making Liege style Belgian waffles (P4/5 size). We have upgraded our pearl sugar to a larger size to give more crunch to the bite. It yields the same caramelization as the P4 size pearls. The sugar is made from beet sugar in Belgium by Tienen Tirlemont. Scandinavian Pearl Sugar does not produce the caramelization needed to make real Liege style waffles.
